Some hot springs have many springs ranging in different temperatures so you can pick the one that is just right for you. Sitting in the hot springs as the snow falls down around you is truly a surreal experience.

Ice fishing is exactly what it sounds like. You go out onto a frozen lake, drill a hole through the ice, and fish! You will need to make sure you check the regulations for the state and the lake in which you are planning to fish. Ice fishing does require slightly different gear than regular fishing, so make sure you go prepared. This is a great way to spend quality time with yourself, friends, or family. It may not be for everyone, but if you enjoy fishing and the snow it will be a perfect combination.

Many houses decorate for Christmas in extravagant ways. Grab a cozy blanket, your loved ones, some hot cocoa, and play some holiday tunes. Even fur babies love to stare out the windows at the lights. It is a nice relaxing way to get in the holiday spirit without breaking the bank, depending on gas prices. Looking at the lights release dopamine, giving you a feeling of excitement. Most people have fond memories associated to Christmas lights, so seeing these give you a sense of nostalgia. This is an fun, wholesome tradition to start for you and your family.
