RV Must Have Part 2!

We know there are endless different accessories you can have while on the road, we couldn’t fit everything in just one post, so we are making multiple. This blog focuses on a few of our favorites that may save you some time in the kitchen or make the inside your RV more “homey.” This way, you can focus on exploring and adventuring!

Let’s start in the kitchen. Air fryers are amazing tools in the kitchen! They save a large amount of time while cooking, so you can still create delicious meals for your family, but by saving time as well. RV’s don’t have the most spacious area for cooking and the appliances aren’t that large, they even struggle working efficiently. A few extra appliances we suggest you look into are Ninja Foodie products or similar, specifically the oven. It packs a punch and does a very good job! Depending on brand and product, it may have a larger space than a traditional RV oven. Like mentioned before. Doing research on any product is a must. Make sure it is a good fit for you and your own uses. Also keeping in mind the power it takes to use the appliance. Depending on the amp of your RV, some appliances may be too much to either run with other things going at the same time, or just in general.

You may notice, while you’re cooking indoors, that your windows are fogging up and creating condensation. Water is not good for an RV, especially constantly and indoors. A great tool/item that will help reduce any humidity, anywhere in the RV, is a dehumidifier. It works to take in the air within the RV and remove any moisture. It helps reduce the humidity within the RV because any excess water can cause water damage. It can be super helpful if you are in humid environment, during rainy weather, the winter time, any time that you think you need to run it. Another great item that works almost and in hand is an air purifier.

It also takes in air, removes any bacteria within the air your are breathing and releases clean air. RVs can be a tight space, especially if you have animals or kids. This will help reduce the odors of everyday life. Both the dehumidifier and the air purifier have similar functions as far as purifying the air, one just takes the extra step and removes the moisture as well!

We all know that one of the least favorite chores to be done in any household, is the dishes. In most regular homes, there is a dishwasher. After eating your meal, you can easily rinse of your dishes and throw them into the dishwasher. Unfortunately, most RVs do not have this luxury. Luckily, there is a way to remedy that! You can do your research, and purchase a countertop dishwasher. There are many to choose from with a variety of reviews. If you the space, you can even implement it into your kitchen area. For us, it is worth a short 5 step trip to bring it in from it’s storage area. They may be small and compact compared to regular dishwashers, but the extra time and water it actually saves is worth it.

For those that are full time, whether you are stationary or travel, even if you aren’t a full time RVer, if your RV has washer and dryer hook ups it would be so worth it to get a set! You may come across a few parks that have no laundry facilities or they are beyond busy and the only time you can get your stuff into the wash is 1am. We know we keep our facilities as clean and welcoming as possible, and sometimes other parks don’t have those kinds of standards, so having your own set may save you from going into facilities that aren’t as such. There are a few options you can look into. There are combo sets, where the machine does both washing and drying (saves space) but their wash and dry times are much longer. If you have the space, you can do stackable washer and dryer sets. Make sure you know the space and dimensions before making a purchase.

We touched on just a few items we think are either must haves or maybe Wishlist items that we think would be beneficial on your travels! Watch out for a part 3!
