Northern Utah in the Fall

Utah in the fall is definitely a must see. Nothing quite beats driving through the mountains as the trees are changing into beautiful colors. In this blog, we are going to list some of the Must Do’s in Northern Utah during the fall season. Let’s dive in!

Drive or Hike Through Logan Canyon

Enjoy over 15 miles of beautiful scenery driving through Logan Canyon. Stop in the heart of Logan, Utah to grab a hot chocolate to keep you warm on the drive. These windy roads offer a unique, serene experience of multicolor trees. You will be surrounded by red, orange, yellow, and even sometimes purple trees. There are many places to pull off and enjoy the views and the calming sounds of the creeks. In the canyons there are hiking and biking trails that are perfect for a nice refreshing moment in the autumn breeze. You can even stop at one of the Three Dams to have a picnic and feed the ducks!

Corn Mazes

Corn mazes are a must for the fall season. There are many corn mazes all over! We have a few in town as well! Whether you enjoy the rush of the haunted corn mazes or the tranquility of the traditional maze, it will definitely be a night well spent. Corn mazes are family friendly and most sell goodies and hot cocoa to keep you and the little ones satisfied. You will definitely want to bundle up and wear shoes that can get muddy. for trekking through the twists and turns of the maze. Most corn mazes have times that they are open during the day and at night so you can find that times that work best for you and your family.

Pumpkin Patch

If you’re looking for a pumpkin to carve or are just wanting to spend the day doing fun fall activities, going to a pumpkin patch is definitely the way to go. There are so many different places that you can go near or in Tremonton that all offer different experiences. Parade through an open field to find the perfect pumpkin for you or your kiddos. Many pumpkin patches offer hay rides that will take you on a tour of the farm, some may even be haunted! Touring pumpkin patches is a fun way to support your local farmers who work hard to provide fresh vegetables to the town!

Apple Picking

Just like the pumpkin patches, there are lots of apple orchards around our town. They are beautiful places to walk around and take pictures. Some places do require you to make an appointment before coming, so make sure to call the orchard you would like to tour ahead of time. Some farms offer warm cider to keep you cozy as you pick through the orchard. Some people believe that going apple picking is associated with feeling happy, calm, and alive. It does this by slowing your heart rate, blood pressure, and helping you connect with nature. Being in the orchards helps you feel more connected to not only nature but those you are with. You can even bring those apples home and make homemade caramel apples!

Haunted Houses

There is definitely no shortage of haunted houses around town. One of the most popular one is the Haunted Hollow. They have a corn maze, haunted train, and a haunted house to walk through. Their tickets normally start around $10 per person or you can get a group pass! Haunted houses aren’t right for every family. Some houses are interactive, meaning their actors will follow and/or grab you, and may be too scary for smaller kids. It is a good idea to look up the house you are going to before you arrive to ensure that your family or group has the best time possible.

As you can see there is no shortage of fun fall activities to do in Northern Utah. These are only a few! There is no doubt that Utah is one of the best places to enjoy the beautiful fall season.
